In Turkey, in the Land of the Greeks (Photos)

If you’re making a travel list for 2013 or feel like adding “visiting Turkey” to your list of New Year’s resolutions, then perhaps you’ll enjoy this posting. I typically don’t cram fill blog posts with lots of photos but for this particular destination the photos really do tell it all.

During a ten day trip to Turkey I visited Istanbul and then headed to Ephesus or Efes (in Turkish) which has some ancient Greek ruins and is definitely worth the visit. So here’s the relics of the Greek’s eastern most stomping ground.

  1. Ephesus is an incredible place. Went there about a year ago. It was really neat to see some of the Greek relics so well preserved. @Colin I thought that turtle was interesting too. Didn’t see that little guy there.
